Zoom Bags structures the sales network to grow in Italy and abroad

Zoom Bags, a young innovative luggage brand with a sustainable soul founded in 2020 by Chiara Caramelli, is structuring its sales network, both in Italy and abroad, to boost its distribution which today, in addition to e-commerce of the brand launched in 2021, sees the presence on online platforms such as the Made in Italy section of Amazon and the b2b Faire platform, as well as within some concept stores, design shops and innovative leather goods.

“We have signed an agreement with a representative agency in Milan that covers all of Italy and with a couple of agents focused on central-south”, explains the founder. “As regards abroad, our goal is to create a network of agents throughout Europe, starting from Spain, France and Germany. We are aiming for high-level accessories and leather goods stores, in line with our positioning, but also for medium-high range concept stores, design stores and stationery shops."

In the meantime, the Pop Up trolley, the first product designed by Chiara Caramelli, covered by an invention patent, has obtained a truly prestigious recognition: for its particular characteristics, in fact, it has received a nomination for the ADI Compasso d'Oro Award, the oldest and most authoritative global design award.

"One of the main characteristics of Pop Up is that it is made of 60% EVA rubber recycled from shoe sole processing waste, with a view to sustainability and circular economy. EVA rubber is a very difficult material to recycle, in fact it is normally thrown away. Even the internal lining is made of 100% recycled polyester, coming from the recovery of plastic bottles and industrial waste, as well as being removable and washable in water", explains Caramelli product life cycle: for example, the two wheels are completely replaceable if they break, without having to throw away the entire trolley. Finally, Pop Up is also designed with a 'space-saving' perspective: its two shells are completely separable so that they can be used. insert one inside the other and take up less space when storing the trolley”.

Produced entirely in Italy and launched on the market last March, Pop Up is a cabin-size trolley with a particularly low weight of around 2.7 kilograms; its two large wheels have been designed to travel on any type of pavement without problems, in an urban context but not only. It is available in a palette of 10 colours, developed in collaboration with the color designer Eliana Lorena, and can be customized by choosing from a wide range of linings that can be combined as desired with the color of the shells. The price ranges from 259 euros for the version without lining, but with elastic net, to 319 euros for the one with lining.

“For the future we are thinking of offering the two-tone version, selling the two shells separately so that the customer can combine them as he wishes. We are also working on a computer holder version, which will probably have an external pocket to be able to access your devices without having to completely open the trolley", continues Caramelli.

The launch of the brand's second product is planned for next year: the Zoom Bags rigid suitcase, which will be equipped with a patented system which, via a zip, allows the side panels to be almost completely separated to allow them to fit inside the shells, which in this way they will lower one on top of the other to reduce the size of the suitcase, in terms of depth, from the usual 30 cm to just 7 cm.
